In this post, you will find a traditional prayer practice based on a dua that may help husbands and wives share the responsibilities of caring for their children with greater understanding and cooperation.
Some husbands may not always take an active role in caring for their children, which can make raising a family more difficult. Muslim women can be particularly concerned about their children’s upbringing and may wish for their husbands to understand their responsibilities and support them in raising the children.
This is a reasonable desire, and when a husband does not provide the support his wife needs in caring for their children, she may turn to Allah through dua and ask Him for help and guidance in dealing with the situation.
For this particular concern, some elders traditionally recommend reciting a wazifa based on Surah Al-Ikhlas. Surah Al-Ikhlas is found in the 30th Juz (Para) of the Quran. Reciting this Surah with sincerity and devotion may provide spiritual comfort and encourage a person to place their difficulties and hopes before Allah.
surah al ikhlas

For this traditional wazifa, after offering the Isha prayer on Friday, recite Surah Al-Ikhlas 313 times with sincerity and devotion. After completing the recitation, read the traditional dua given below once.

Allahumma waffiq zawji li-adā’i mas’ūliyyātil-bayt

You should practise the wazifa described above for at least 7 days. InshaAllah, after 7 days, your husband may receive guidance from Allah and may make an effort to support you in caring for and raising your children.
This wazifa is presented based on traditional observations and is not mentioned in any Hadith. Furthermore, the acceptance of any dua ultimately depends on the will and wisdom of Allah.
